This was often my experience traveling by rail years ago. Then one day, I decided to write those stories down. Over a period of ten years,

thanks to picking up a friend and her guide dog at our local depot, I was surprised by all that happened there. I'd write down and save my stories at first; in notebooks, or on scraps of paper, or leave messages on my phone. Later, I'd save the experiences I witnessed on my laptop. They all unfolded while waiting for a train or riding Metra into the city of Chicago. Now I have a collection of train stories, just for you.
