The Midwest: As a Foreign Country
By: Group Write
I look around and more people in the Midwest are wearing shirts with an outline of their home state. Michigan. Ohio. Kansas. Indiana. Illinois. Wisconsin. Minnesota. Missouri. Nebraska. Iowa. North Dakota. South Dakota.
There's a local pride spreading. A push back against being labeled the "flyover states."
The Midwest As A Foreign Country is an ongoing adventure. Experiencing the Midwest as if you were on a big vacation. A search for where's the best food. Best breweries. Coffee shops. What's it like to see a Kansas basketball game in Allen Fieldhouse or a football game in The Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
If we ever leave a place out, no sweat, it's up to you to write that chapter and send it in to firstname.lastname@example.org
